Let me share my personal strategy for staying
focused on my MLM business. Every morning I create my “30 new contacts” action
list. Thirty is my magic number for success (which is based on insurance
salesmen’s “30 new contacts a day” strategy developed in the 1940s). My goal is
to mail 30 recruiting postcards to new contacts every single day. This is the
most important vital business activity I must accomplish each day in order to
stay on track with my business goals. I thrive on accomplishing this activity
and realize without this plan, the urgent distractions that are always just
around the corner could keep me from having business success. Follow this
important principle of spending time on the things that bring the most reward
from your MLM business. I’ve found that mailing 30 postcards a day to complete
strangers is the one activity that has taken me from being an average networker
to a very good one --- as long as I didn’t forget that rule, as long as I send
the right mailing piece, and as long as I stay with the right horse to win the
race. Hilton Johnson calls this process - “eating frogs for breakfast”. In
other words, I need to get that frog off my plate every morning if I’m going to
build long-term residual income. Remember that focus (backed up by action)
creates the results you desire.
